Thirty prominent companies and financial Institutions from Pakistan have been awarded the prestigious Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB) Awards for 2020 in multiple categories.

The GDIB Awards for the year 2020 will be given to these companies and FIs at a ceremony to be held in Karachi in March 2021.

Top Ten companies include METRO, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Engro Fertilizers Limited, Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC), Nestle Pakistan Limited, Abacus, Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited, Engro Energy Limited, Aga Khan University and Faysal Bank Limited.

Other winners include The First MicroFinanceBank Limited, Khaadi Pakistan (SMC-Pvt) Limited, S&P Global Pakistan, Bank Alfalah, Hashoo Foundation, AGP Limited, U Microfinance Bank Limited, Philip Morris Pakistan Limited, Gray Mackenzie Restaurants International Limited (KFC Pakistan), PTCL, Allied Bank Limited, TAF Foundation, ICI Pakistan Limited, Telenor, Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, HBL, HRSG, The Millennium Education, The Millennium Universal College, and JS Bank.

Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks are industry standards for companies globally helping determine strategy and measure progress in managing diversity and promoting inclusion in the workforce.

The Centre for Global Inclusion, the objective is to serve as a resource for research and education for individuals and organisations in their quest to improve diversity and inclusion practices around the world.

GDIB standards help in promoting equitable organisations, addressing racism, sexism, and all forms of oppression, cultivate trust, acceptance, physical and psychological safety, promoting inclusively, respond with agility, and thrive through disruption, promote wellness and self-care as ingredients for lasting change and contribute to creating a sustainable world.

GDIB awards recognise progressive organisations who use GDIB standards to keep Diversity and Inclusion with organisational policies for sustainable financial and social performance.

Diversity Hub – HR Metrics organise annual GDIB awards by engaging organisations from all over Pakistan.

Diversity Hub is a centre of expertise within HR Metrics Consulting, with a mission to help organisations become sustainable through inclusive cultural and behavioural change.

GDIB was developed by 95 Expert Panelists from around the world, and co-authors Julie O’Mara (Former National President American Society for Training & Development) and Alan Richter, Ph.D.

GDIB supports workplace D&I and describes People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership as its focus.
