At Tahur Limited, owner of Dairy Brand ‘PREMA’, has notified that the company is taking pre-emptive measures, pre-cautions and necessary interventions to ensure safety of its Bio-Stock against the “Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD)”. At-Tahur is leader in the pasteurized dairy sector in Pakistan. PREMA takes pride in owning largest stock of Australian Cows in Pakistan.

Lumpy Skin Disease is fast spreading disease in Pakistan primarily affecting Cows and Buffaloes, impacting their skin.
In this regard, Ministry of National Food Security and Research had previously announced establishment of a task force to develop a framework for controlling the disease in Pakistan.
Although animal mortality is low, however this disease has infected more than 20,000 animals so far, including 15,100 in Karachi alone, across Sindh.
