The China State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC) announced that it has signed procurement contracts with Pakistan and 15 other countries during the Third China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is taking place in Shanghai.
The China Daily reported on Saturday that the purchase covers more than 20 types of goods, including grains, fruits, textiles and chemical products.
SDIC Chairman Bai Tao said China intends to lead the global engagement mechanism and make global cooperation more flexible with impartiality and action.
“SDIC will continue to deepen cooperation in important areas and key industries with partners both domestically and abroad to share the opportunities provided by CIIE, work side by side and foster global economic development and regional economic and trade exchanges,” he said.
