Dawlance, which strives to combine its technological leadership with Environment conservation, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Wildlife Federation-Pakistan to contribute to environmental sustainability. This collaboration is part of the Dawlance initiative for Humanity, which aims to ensure environmental and economic sustainability while improving the quality of life, education, and health care for the entire country.
Dawlance has entered this exclusive long-term partnership with WWF to bring its global parent company, Arcelik’s overall sustainability program, to Pakistan, which is heavily involved in the social, environmental and economic arenas in line with UN requirements. As part of this partnership, Dawlance will launch a Tree Plantation campaign in Karachi, followed by a series of community development initiatives involving more stakeholders in activities such as mangrove cultivation, corporate engagement and many other social development initiatives.
A virtual memorandum of understanding was recently held in the presence of Dawlan CEO Umar Ahsan Khan, Dawlance Marketing Director Syed Hasan Jameel, and WWF Regional Director Dr. Tahir Rasheed. The event was also attended by: WWF Senior Climate and Energy Program Manager – Nazifa Butt, Dawlance Director of Operations – Ameen Ahmed, and Dawlance Director of Human Resources – Muhammad Ahmad Khan, along with Dawlance Group Marketing Manager- Raheel Hashmi.
