As per the unofficial news, Facebook has offered to launch a number of projects in Pakistan, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be providing a platform to open its first Pakistani office in the province.

According to local media reports, Advisor to the Chief Minister (CM) for Science, Technology and Information Technology Ziaullah Khan Bangash met with Facebook spokesman Sahar Tariq.

Advisor to KP Chief Minister said that according to the CM’s vision, KPK fully supported Facebook and promised to review the legislation that is causing difficulties, as well as other Internet platforms, as most of the young people in the country use the platform.

The report claims that the KP government and Facebook are in talks to open monetization in Pakistan, while National Assembly (NA) President Assad Qaysar will meet with Facebook officials next week alongside IT ministry officials. According to rough estimates, around 50 million Pakistanis use Facebook with considerable users in KPK.
