Ghandhara Industries Limited (GHNL) has denied the rumours related its plans to launch ISUZU MU-X in Pakistan.
In a notice issued to Pakistan Stock Exchange, the company announced that it has not entered into any negotiations or contract whether written or otherwise to introduce ISUZU MUX in Pakistan. The notice further reads that the media reports are baseless and have no legal standing.
Previously, it was rumoured that Gandhara Industries is launching Chery Tiggo in Pakistan. Same was denied by the company. Despite the denial of launching new models, our channel check suggests that Gandhara Industries is planning to launch new Car Models in Pakistan primarily in SUV and Sedan Segment. However, nothing is finalized yet and the company is open to options a the moment. Pakistan is currently witnessing increased competition in the Auto segment with the entry of new Bands and their collaboration with foreign companies.
As per analysts, Gandhara Industries will wait for finalization of Auto Policy 2021-2026 which is expected to be rolled out in second half of 2021. Only after Auto Policy 2021-2026 is finalized, Gandhara will take any concrete action for launching of any new model.
