Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) and the Peshawar Chamber of Small Business and Small Industries (PCSTSI), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a common interest in the acquisition, development, and evaluation of technologies and analytical solutions to business challenges, with particular emphasis on industries in the region, especially the SME sector.

As per the details of MoU, the two parties will work together to provide training for SME entrepreneurs in KP and provide solutions based on the needs of the SMEs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to improve their business processes and make them effective and efficient.

Both parties will submit joint or independent applications for national and international grants, which may help cover the costs of joint training and research activities, as well as other costs for the development of small and medium -sized businesses.

GIKI and PCSTSI will also collaborate on any constructive collaboration, collaborate with government or international donors that may be of significant benefit to the SME sector, support the PCSTSI Research Center, organize joint workshops, participate in board of advisory and committee as well as consulting services, joint research publications, sectoral policy research projects, and any other activities deemed appropriate by both Parties.

In order to systematically carry out activities between the two parties, PCSTSI President Mohammad Adnan Jalil, has been appointed coordinator, who will remain so after his tenure as Speaker of the House and from GIKI Davud Mamun, Director , will be responsible for coordinating these activities.

According to the agreement, the two parties will also cooperate with each other in building the capacity of researchers and exchanging information in joint conferences, seminars, seminars, etc., exchanging technical information and data, and collaborating with research teams.
