After Hyundai Nishat, Kia Lucky Motors has also recalled its Sportage SUVs from all over Pakistan.

Kia has officially asked its customers to drive their cars for inspection at the nearest authorized dealer. If necessary, dealers will replace defective HECU fuse kits that pose a potential fire hazard. Component inspection and replacement will be free of charge.

The ad asserts that the offer is only available to “eligible customers,” which may mean customers who have made changes to the motor or electrical components will be disqualified. Kia motors has tweeted:

Hyundai Nishat had recalled its Tucson SUV about a month ago, mainly to address an ABS unit issue that could have caused a fire. It also introduced upgrades such as ECUs, security kits, and updated AVN software.
