In a notice to Pakistan Stock Exchange, Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited (MLCF) has stated that its existing clinker capacity of brownfield clinker production line-3 located at Iskanderabad, has been increased by 500 tons per day of clinker. The said line was established in May-2019 which took total capacity of the company to 7,300 tons per day. Now after addition of 500 tons per day capacity, the total capacity has reached 7,800 tons per day of clinker due to a debottlenecking and Balancing, Modernization and Replacement program.

Accordingly, the existing total grey clinker capacity will increase from 18,000 tons to 18,500 tons per day of clinker.

Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited produces and sells cement primarily in Pakistan. The company Primarily offers ordinary Portland cement and white cement. Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited also exports its products to Africa, Gulf, and other Asian countries. The company was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan. Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited is a subsidiary of Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited. MLCF currently operates cement plant of 3.3mn tons per annum capacity. While it has planned for further capacity expansion.

Maple Leaf Cement has recently announced another brownfield expansion of 8000 tons per day (annual capacity of 2.4mn tons) along with a Waste Heat Recovery system. Total cost outlay for the project stands at PKR 18.5 billion and the project is expected to be completed by FY2023.
