During the first quarter of this fiscal year, two new wells were added to the production assembly system, producing 65,233 barrels of crude oil and 368 million cubic feet of gas.

“OGDC has implemented 27 additional work at mature fields to decrease natural decline and maintain oil and gas production,” the company said in a quarterly report.

During the reporting period, the company accounted for about 47 percent, 29 percent and 36 percent of the country’s total oil, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas production, respectively.

OGDCL also commissioned four exploration and production wells, including Juna-1, Sheen Dund-1, Nangpir-1] and Qadirpur-62, and completed drilling and testing of seven wells from the previous fiscal year. The total volume of drilling for three months was 17,620 meters.
