Pakistan Tobacco Ltd (PAKT) disclosed its 1QCY2021 financial result where net profit clocked in at PKR 4.49 billion (up by 59%YoY). No dividend was announced with the result. The financial result remain above expectations as higher sales during the quarter provided the support to profit.
The company’s profitability increased due to higher margins realized and sales growth achieved during the quarter. PAKT posted sales of PKR 49bn in 1Q2021, making an increase of 27%YoY.
Selling Expenses remain under control at PKR 1.098bn while Distribution Expense grew by 20% YoY to PKR 1.09bn.
Finance cost increased during the quarter.
