The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flew its first flight to Syria in 22 years. The flight received a Water Salute at Damascus Airport, confirmed PIA CEO in his tweet.
A plane from Karachi with 300 passengers landed at Damascus International Airport on Friday.
“After 22 years, the #PIA #Damascus # areas have arrived to develop religious tourism and restore relations with Syria,” said PIA CEO Arshad Malik on Twitter.
The flight was welcomed by the Syrian Minister of Transport Zouheir Khzeim.
