Pakistan’s national Airline is all set to introduce Air flights to Saudi Arabia’s tourist city of Abha from January-2021.
As per the details, the national airline has plans to operate two weekly flights to the Saudi Arabian city of “Abha’ from Islamabad and Lahore.
The PIA has already requested the Kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) for permission in this regard.
Previously, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) had granted Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) permission to operate flights in the Al-Qassim region od Saudia Arabia. Subsequently, PIA started flights from Multan to the region back in November-2020.
Abha is situated at 650km south of Jeddah near the Red Sea. It is surrounded by Asir Mountains of south-western Saudi Arabia, near Asir National Park. It is a prominent Tourist Place in Saudi Arabia.
