The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has instructed more than 146,000 registered companies to ensure that workers, including their families, be vaccinated as soon as possible, warning against regulatory action if guidelines are not followed.
“The SECP is contemplating regulatory action against companies that do not comply with government anti-COVID directives and policies,” said a circular released Monday by the corporate regulator.
All companies must provide vaccination information of their employees and their families by July 26, according to the post office.
The initial compliance report submitted on the SECP website must include the company name, total number of employees, number of vaccinated employees, number of family members to be vaccinated, and number of eligible family members.
The companies registered with SECP were informed that for increasing the vaccination rate, the government has decided to make vaccination mandatory for employees and encourages other stakeholders including vendors, suppliers, and customers to get themselves vaccinated on asap basis.
