The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), which supports digital transformation (DX) in its regulated sector, has published draft Cloud Implementation Guidelines for registered companies to solicit feedback from all stakeholders.
The instructions provide an easy and efficient way to move to the cloud service. Companies can gain a clear understanding of the risks and benefits of moving to the cloud over traditional computing solutions.
The cloud provides easy, on-demand access to shared resources such as servers, storage, and online applications. Looking at the future of cloud services and the most exciting trends in the industry, we can say that cloud services have proven to be very useful in various areas in terms of resource optimization, scalability, business continuity, improved collaboration and speed to market. It provides more reliable computing power at a lower cost.
The draft SECP Cloud Certification Guidelines are in line with Pakistan’s Cloud First Policy (PCFP) 2021 draft prepared by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
