The Ministry of National Food Security and Research has put forward a proposal to export boiled meat to China, recommending three processing plants: The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL), TATA, and Fauji. TOMCL’s management, in a notice to the PSX on Monday, clarified that reports circulating in certain sections of the media stating that the Chinese authorities had approved three processing plants—Fauji, Tata, and Green—for the purpose were incorrect.

According to TOMCL’s notice, company’s world-class meat processing plants comply with international standards of food hygiene and good manufacturing practices, holding certifications for ISO 9001-2015, GMP, and HACCP. It exports to various countries worldwide.

In a filing with the PSX, The Organic Meat Company Limited (PSX: TOMCL) disclosed that it has successfully obtained approval to export “Pet Chews” to Canada. This makes TOMCL the first Pakistani company to receive approval for exporting these products to Canada. Furthermore, the company has been authorized to supply “Meat and meat products / chilled and frozen” to Uzbekistan by the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

These recent developments are expected to have a positive impact on TOMCL’s business and bring added value to its shareholders.
