Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Hammad Azhar has said that three more smartphone manufacturing factories will be set up in Pakistan in the near future. The minister believes that “the increase in smartphone production will lead to lower prices for smartphones in the country,” adding that the government has taken serious steps to curb smartphone smuggling.
Earlier last December, Hammad Azhar announced that VIVO, one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world, would open production in Pakistan.
