Xiaomi, the second-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, intends to create a Mobile Production Unit in Pakistan in the next 3-4 months, which will create jobs and will enable access to smartphones to the vast array of people throughout the country.
According to Canalys Global Analytics, Xiaomi became the second-largest seller of smartphones after Samsung, for 2021, announced in an economic journal in China.
Xiaomi sales jumped by 83 percent this year with Global market share reaching 17 percent of total smartphones.
If this growth momentum continues, Chinese Mobile giant will soon overcome Samsung as Smart Phone King
CANALYS reports also highlighted that in Pakistan for Q1 2021 , Top smartphone vendors include Transsion at the top position, Vivo at No 2, Samsung at No 3, Oppo at No 4 and Xiaomi at No 5.
Many other smartphone manufacturers have already set up their Assembling units in Pakistan. These brands include TECNO, Infinix, Gfive, and Realme.
If Xiaomi succeeds at establishing its assembly unit in Pakistan, we can see a huge price drop for smartphones made in the country
