Zi Solar Pvt. Ltd., the Pakistan-based provider of renewable energy solutions in Pakistan, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Aeonus Co., a leading Korean renewable energy company to develop Charging Infrastructure for electric vehicles across Pakistan.
The companies are also involved in research and development to improve charging and utility infrastructure in Pakistan, in line with the government’s goal of promoting electric vehicles to improve the environment and reduce the drop in oil imports.
This collaboration takes cue from the EV policy 2021-2026, which aims to create a strong domestic EV market with a 30% market share of the passenger car by 2030.
The signing ceremony took place at the office of the Korea Trade and Investment Cooperation Agency in Karachi.
The heads of Zi Solar, Aeonus Kotra and the Pakistani Embassy in Seoul thanked for the meeting.
Under the agreement, Zi Solar Pvt. Ltd. will help develop EV charging infrastructure along with Smart Mobility Charging Outlets and the distribution fast EV chargers, including over 50kWDC (level 3) chargers and over 7kW AC (level 2) chargers.
