Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen says he and the prime minister have a philosophy that the country must move forward with stable growth.

“We are moving towards industrial development,” he said at a press conference in Islamabad.

“Despite the harsh conditions, the government adhered to the IMF program and brought the country to stability. When we approached the IMF in 2008, the conditions were favorable, but now the conditions have changed and the IMF has imposed strict conditions on us,” he said.

He said the government followed strict conditions and brought the country to stability, and when it was time to move towards growth, the Crown came to the country. He further mentioned that during the coronavirus crisis, the government provided a PKR 1.2 trillion package which led improvement in the economy.

He said revenue in March-2021 increased 46 percent from the prior year and rose in early april, but fell by 57 percent in late April due to the Corona lockdown.

“We are under threat from Corona, otherwise our economic recovery will begin,” he said.

Shaukat Tareen also mentioned: “We have to bring this economy to growth. To do this, we must give incentives to industries so that industries can develop and create jobs for people. “

“We are trying to reduce the shadow of the Crown and get back on track,” he said.

“We have long-term plans for price stability, social security, economic stability and spending,” he said.

The minister said that “such programs will be introduced into the budget that an ordinary person will not have to worry about falling into the tax net.”

“The people in the FBR are being persecuted, but we will introduce policies that will put an end to this,” he said.

“I am not criticizing anyone, but if the capacity fee were more than 5.5%, we would not have to pay it, but we have increased it so much that we will have to solve it now,” he said.
