Federal Minister for IT has said that Ministry of Finance has assured to reduce the Advance income tax on mobile phone users from 12.5 percent to 10 percent in the upcoming 2021-2022 budget. He said this at the foundation laying ceremony of Information Technology Park in Chak Shehzad, Islamabad.
The IT park will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.70 billion in 2.5 years. The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Suh Sangpyo was also present at the occasion.
IT Park Islamabad will consists of twelve floors (10 aboveground and 2 aboveground) with a covered area of 66,893 square meters.
With the financial support of the Exim Bank Korea, IT Park will create modern infrastructure and related facilities for ICT companies. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs. 13,727.07 million.
IT Minister further said that the Islamabad IT park project is the continuation of Government’s measures to implement the Digital Pakistan Concept, which will address the infrastructure gap for the IT sector.
