Pakistan’s Cement Dispatches declined in February to 4.4 million tons compared to 4.6 million tons in the same period last year, down by 5% compared to the same period last year.
The main reason for this decline was the decline in exports . Domestic shipments rose 16% from the previous month. While exports fell significantly by 26% from last month. Domestic supplies improved after weak demand in the previous month due to weaker demand from construction work in the winter.
In February 2022, local dispatches for the North were 3.2 million tonnes, down 2% from last year. while exports from the region fell 78% year on year.
Local shipments to the South this month totaled 741,000 tons, up 8% from last year. On the other hand, exports, which account for the bulk of all shipments from the region, are down 15% year on year. in February 2022
