Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing met Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh to discuss Financial Action Task Force (FATF) related issues. The ambassador expressed his optimism over Pakistan’s progress on FATF Compliance and said that October review will go well for Pakistan.
Chinese Ambassador was on a farewell meeting with the advisor as his tenure comes to end. Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh acknowledged the contributions of Ambassador Jing and expressed hope that new Ambassador will work on the same lines. Dr.Shaikh expressed that China-Pakistan relations will further strengthen in future.
Chinese Ambassador Jing expressed his gratitude for the support from Pak Government and mentioned the desire to further bolster the two country’s relationship. He said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a project that is an inspiration for the rest of the world. Ambassador also praised Pakistan’s efforts to contain COVID19 and mentioned that the world should learn from Pakistan’s experience.
