As per the media reports, the government is considering removing a 1 percent tax on IT receipts to encourage IT, exporters, to maintain export rates in the current fiscal year.
At a recent meeting, Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin assured IT Ministry that the 1-2% Tax deduction by banks on IT receipts would soon be withdrawn for every IT export .
Prime Minister Imran Khan recently held a high-level meeting with representatives from export-oriented sectors after Pakistan hit a record $ 2.3 billion in monthly exports.
Recently, it was observed that IT exporters are being deducted 1% tax on each IT receipt through Banking Channel.
