With the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to attract investment and create a favorable business environment, the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), has officially launched an Investment portal called Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Investment Facilitation Center (KPIFC).

The KPIFC idea was launched by the SARHAD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and aims to improve investment and reach out to the business community through digitalization through a Single Window Access service, which also demonstrates and reflects the Prime Minister’s vision and business development efforts. (EoDB).

In this regard, the official opening ceremony was held on Thursday at a hotel in Peshawar under the chairmanship of Sherbaz Bilor, President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Participants thanked the United Nations Development Program and the United States Agency for International Development for their financial and technical support for the formal implementation of the Investment Portal.

The event was attended by the ministers of provinces Ali Yusufzai, Mian Khaliqeer Rehman, Mohammad Atif Khan, Shah Mohammad Khan, MNA Zile Huma, head of SMEDA KPK Rashid Aman, leader of the ANP Sadar Hussain Babak.

SMEDA Chief Hashim Raza and United Nations Development Program Deputy Representative Aliona Nicoletta attended the event via video link.

In this context, Sherbaz Bilor said the launch of KPIFC is a step towards developing business and creating an enabling business environment to attract investment to the province. He expressed hope that the initiative of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry will play a key role in solving the problems of the business community and investors under one roof.
