The gas pipeline agreement between Pakistan and Russia is likely to get abandoned.
According to Tabish Gohar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Petroleum, Pakistan must build a North-South gas pipeline by 2023.
Tabish Gohar said Russia is setting difficult terms for the gas pipeline project which may not be acceptable for Pakistan. If an agreement with Russia cannot be reached, Pakistan can build its pipeline with SSGC and SNGP.
He said the two companies could build the pipeline faster and cheaper than Russia.
