Pakistan and Bahrain held a Joint Ministerial Commission meeting in Manama for promoting Economic ties between the two countries.

During the session, both sides agreed to work for improving their businesses in their respective countries through joint efforts to achieve economic growth and increase trade harmony.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Board of Investment of the Government of Pakistan and the Economic Development Board (EDB) of the Kingdom of Bahrain between the two advertising agencies was one of the main features of the project.

The MOU focuses on manufacturing, tourism, logistics, information and communications technology, financial services, healthcare, education and vocational training.

The Memorandum of Understanding is valid for two years and can be renewed later by mutual agreement of the Parties.

Pakistan and Bahrain fostered an atmosphere of innovation and progress and looked forward to opportunities to increase strength and synergy through successful and prosperous business relationships.

Countries have expressed a desire to leverage and intensify cooperation initiatives between the Investment Council and the Business Council.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani warmly welcomed the Pakistani delegation and expressed gratitude to the Joint President of Pakistan for his enthusiasm in strengthening and building deep relations between the two countries.

Makhdoom Shah Mahmoud Qureshi, head of the Pakistani delegation, thanked the Bahraini side for the warm welcome and hospitality of him and the delegation accompanying him.
