Pakistan earned $ 419.992 million by providing various IT services in different countries during the first two months of 2021-22 fiscal year (2MFY22).
This represents an increase of 46.32% from $ 287 million over previous fiscal year 2020-21, Statistics Pakistan (PBS) reported.
During the reporting period, IT services grew by 40.06% from $ 223.2 million in July-August to $ 312mn in July-August 2021 period.
In terms of computer services, exports of software consulting services increased 56.19% from $ 72,681 million to $ 113,517 million, while exports of hardware consulting services increased 568.83% from 0.077 USD million to USD 0.515 million. Exports and imports of services related to computer software also increased by 29.01% from $ 57.012 million to $ 73.552 million, while exports of repair and maintenance services increased to $ 0.192 million from $ 0.071 million.
In addition, the export of other computer services increased by 33.72 percent from $ 93.359 million to $ 124.836 million.
At the same time, the export of information services rose by 110.42% over the reporting period from USD 0.480 million to USD 1.010 million.
