Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan granted approval for setting up 18 trade markets along Pakistan’s Western borders with Iran and Afghanistan.
12 markets along Pakistan-Afghanstan border and six markets along Pakistan-Iran border will be established. The measure is being taken to eliminate the smuggling through the border.
Prime Minister was Presiding over a high-level meeting to discuss measures to control Smuggling though Borders. Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the meeting along with Food Security and Research Minister Syed Fakhar Imam, Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar, Adviser to the PM on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and other relevant officials.
