The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Trade and Investment, Abdul Razzak Daud, on Tuesday advised exporters to be vigilant and maintain a flow of operations in global markets as the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic threatens to impact the global economic balance.
“Covid-19 is an unprecedented crisis in modern human history with far-reaching consequences for the global economy. The latest data from the World Bank show that the epidemic has caused a contraction in GDP globally, and major Western economies such as Japan and South Korea, etc. are expected to record negative GDP growth, ”SAPM said in a statement on Twitter. …
The consultant said that as the world returns to quarantine, amid renewed Covid-19 cases, Pakistan’s export demand could also be hurt.
