The United Nations has said that Pakistan’s economy is on the path to a strong recovery. The UN said in its flagship report World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) that Pakistan’s economy is on the path to a relatively strong recovery.

According to the annual report, after economic growth of 4.5% in 2021, GDP growth is estimated at 3.9% in 2022. At the end of last year, the rapid global recovery, which shows signs of concrete growth, has accelerated.

A report by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) cites new wave of coronary virus infections, ongoing labor market and long-term supply chain challenges, and rising inflationary pressures a drag on Economic Growth.
