Karachi is likely to witness its Mass Transit Project ‘Green Line Bus’ getting operational soon as Ship with Green Line buses has arrived in Pakistan for the Karachi Green Line bus project.
Karachi Port (KPT) officials said the Chinese ship has 40 buses on board.
A second batch of 40 buses from the Karachi Green Line Bus Project will arrive in Pakistan in the first week of October.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Federal Minister Asad Umar, Ali Al Zaidi and others are participating in the ceremony taking place today at the port of Karachi.
At the first stage, Green Line buses will run from Surjani Town to North Nazimabad, Nazimabad and ending at Numaish Chowrangi.
Seats for women and people with disabilities will be allocated on the Green Line buses.
80 buses have been allocated for the first phase of the Green Line project.
Federal Minister Asad Omar has already announced that Green Line Bus project will be fully operational by the end October-2021.
