The Chairman of the National Tourism Coordination Board (NTCB) Syed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari Inaugurated a five-star hotel & Resort in Chitral on Wednesday to provide high-quality accommodation and food for tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, he said the facility is built in collaboration with the private sector, adding that concerted efforts are being made to encourage private sector investment in the tourism sector.

The 80-room hotel with two restaurants and a Hall for 500 persons was built by Pakistani expatriate Anwar Aman, who has announced an investment of around Rs 5 billion in Pakistan’s tourism sector.

Anwar Aman has named the hotel “Bejaan” after her mothers name.

Zulfikar Bukhari, who is also Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Pakistani Foreign Affairs and Human Resource Development, expressed gratitude to the Pakistani diaspora for its contribution to national development.
