Pakistan has banned all tourism in the country during festive week of Eid to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
In a circular from the Pakistani Interior Ministry on Tuesday, the NCOC has decided to completely close tourist sites, parks and hotels in areas which usually attract tourists. Ther restricted period starts on 8th of May till 16th of May
The circular added that all traffic movement between districts and cities will be closed, while only local residents of Gilgit-Baltistan will be able to return to their hometowns.
The National Command and operations center also decided that increased restiction will be placed in special tourist destinations including Murree, Galiyat, Swat Kalam, coastal areas and other northern destinations with enhanced monitoring.
