Pakistan’s premiere Business School, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has received more than US$2.5 million or PKR 670 million in crypto Currency Donations for launching Pakistan’s first degree programme for blockchain, Crypto Currencies, distributed ledger technology (DLT), and associated platforms, according to a news release by the varsity.

LUMS will spend five million STX currency tokens, or roughly PKR670 million, to develop and academic programmes to enable faculty and students for research in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, distributed ledger technology and more. The amount has been donated by Hiro, formerly known as Blockstack PBC.
