The Sindh Coronavirus Task Force has decided to continue enforcing current COVID-19 restrictions across the province as cases increase. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, who heads the COVID Task Force, has warned against stricter restrictions if COVID infection cases are not controlled.
The Stricter COVID SoPs include a ban on dining in restaurants/hotels (indoor and outdoor), sports, and festive events, while Grocery Stores, bakeries, and dairy stores will remain till 10 pm. Standard operating procedures (SOPs) require 50 percent fewer passengers than the capacity of all modes of public transport.
The meeting of the task force was attended by the provincial ministers, the Chief Secretary, the Police Inspector General, the commissioner in Karachi, and other officials. Working group members and experts at the meeting advised the government to maintain the current restrictions on coronaviruses in the province to control the situation.
