Pakistan on Tuesday announced to start vaccinating 12-year-olds as the country expands its vaccination campaign as cases of coronavirus infections decline.
Asad Umar, Head of the NCOC and Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, said on Twitter on Tuesday that the forum had held a meeting and decided to start vaccinating the young population.
“Schools are running a special vaccination campaign to make it easier for children to get vaccinated,” he wrote on Twitter.
Previously, the NCOC said the Pfizer vaccine would be administered to people under the age of 18. Individuals under the age of 18 must provide a Form B number to register with the national vaccination system.
