Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf has been designated as the new Chief of the Pakistan Navy. The Pakistan Navy’s spokesperson has confirmed that Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf will officially assume the rank of Admiral on October 7, 2023, during the Change of Command ceremony scheduled to be held in Islamabad on that same date.
Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf commenced his service in the Pakistan Navy in 1989, as revealed by the spokesperson. He brings a wealth of experience in holding key command and staff positions, and he is presently fulfilling the role of Chief of Staff at Naval Headquarters.
Furthermore, it’s worth noting that Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf has been recognized for his contributions, receiving accolades such as the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and the Sitara-i-Basalat awards, which underscore his exceptional service and dedication to his military duties.
