Pakistan’s stock market experienced a range-bound session with no significant triggers, but managed to close in the green. Trading volume increased to 273 million shares, up 19% compared to the previous session’s 229 million shares.
The KSE-100 index rose by 208 points or 0.50% DoD, closing at 41,794 points. The commercial banks, technology and communication, and fertilizer sectors were the primary contributors to the session’s gains, adding a cumulative 143 points to the index. Investors showed a positive momentum throughout the session, leading to a positive close for the benchmark KSE-100 Index, which settled at 41,794 points.
FFL, TELE, and WTL accounted for 67 million shares of the total market volume. Traded value decreased from USD 26 million to USD 24 million in the previous session.
Market sentiment reflected optimism about Pakistan’s economic outlook, as negotiations with the IMF for a potential bailout package continued.
