Rupee continued its losing spree against the US Dollar as Interbank market rates for US dollar increased to all time high of Rs 168.94/USD.
The dollar exchange rate on the interbank market increased by 84 paisas during the day. In 75 days of the current fiscal year, the Rupee has depreciated by 11.40 rupees against the US Dollar.
On the other hand, on the open market today, the dollar is up 60 paisas to Rs 169.60.
Rising Imports and limited Dollar inflows in the country has put pressure on the Rupee as quantum of Trade based payments increases.
