Maqsad, a technology based Educational platform, has received $2.1 million pre-seed funding from a Indus Valley Capital, Alter Global, Fatima Gobi Ventures and several individual founders from Pakistan and the Middle East.
The pre-seed funding is the third largest in the country.
‘Maqsad’ is Founded by Taha Ahmed and Rooshan Aziz. It is a mobile platform that delivers local academic content in English and Urdu.
Maqsad will release its mobile app by the end of 2021. The amount raised will be used to expand the staff, create technologies / content as it expands.
“The student problems in the early days of the pandemic prompted us to hire a pilot. Thanks to a promising initial appeal and user feedback, the potential of digitization in education has become very clear, ”said Roshan, a former banker at BNP Paribas in London.
Ali Alikhttar, partner at Fatima Gobi Ventures, said the potential of Pakistani educational technology is one of the greatest in the world.
