LinkedIn has decided to introduce Clubhouse clone in its platform after Facebook, Twitter and Spotify announced the same. Linkedin has recently introduced services host of glamorous social features, from short-lived posts to live broadcasts, that have more to do with celebrity influencers than a website focused on corporate connections.
Linkedin calls the shift in features “the rebirth of LinkedIn as a social network.”
In addition to the voice chat announcement, LinkedIn last week launched selfie video profiles and a new “creator mode” with a hashtag for posting content. It also provided “stories” like Snapchat and streaming tools.
LinkedIn has more than 700 million members. The platform has become a powerful hub for promoting digital resumes, recruiting talent, and building professional relationships. Unlike Facebook and Instagram, It prevented the abuses suffered by users of other platforms. Steps to include more social features will help the company reach younger generations.
